Se reunen experiencias, propuestas y herramientas de varios países del mundo, para consolidar la participación de las comunidades rurales en la conservación de la agrobiodiversidad. Este documento se divide en cinco secciones, cada sección tiene una pequeña introducción realizada por el editor, seguida de varios estudios de casos. La primera sección, presenta el contexto instituciones, incorporación del análisis de género, conceptos y propuestas de participación, técnicas y herramientas para la conservación y uso de recursos genéticos. En la segunda sección, se presentan cuatro esudios de casos, para ampliar el acceso a los bancos de genes, por parte de las comunidades rurales. En la tercera sección se da una introducción sobre la importancia de la conservación y uso de los recursos, metodología para el manejo de los recursos genéticos, así como una revisión de experiencias. En la cuarta sección se presentan las experiencias de las comunidades en relación a bancos de semillas, manejo de semillas y conservación. Finalmente la sección cinco trata sobre políticas, conservación y uso de los recursos genéticos |
