La presente investigación se desarrolló en el parcelamiento Arizona, Puerto de San José, departamento de Escuintla, y tuvo como propósito diagnosticar la comercialización de la papaya (Carica papaya L.). La metodología utilizada incluyó recopilación de información primaria mediante encuestas y entrevistas a productores y comercializadores, así como análisis de información secundaria relacionada con precios, canales de distribución y volúmenes de venta. Los resultados permitieron identificar las formas de comercialización predominantes, los agentes involucrados, los costos asociados, las variaciones de precios y los principales mercados de destino, así como las limitaciones operativas que incidieron en el proceso de comercialización del cultivo en el área de estudio. |
