La presente investigación se llevó a cabo en Guatemala con el objetivo de evaluar el control de la chinche salivosa (Aeneolamia sp.), plaga de importancia económica en el cultivo de caña de azúcar, uno de los principales rubros agroindustriales del país. Se aplicó una metodología experimental para probar diferentes insecticidas, buscando determinar cuáles ofrecían un mejor control y por cuánto tiempo era efectivo con una sola aplicación. Los resultados señalaron la importancia de seleccionar adecuadamente el insecticida, a fin de evitar problemas como resistencia de plagas, daños ambientales, incremento de costos y riesgos para la sostenibilidad del cultivo. |
